The Graphics Department will derive benefit from your files
made from the following programs:

I M P O R T A N T :
Include all ARTWORK, Files and FONTS with jobs, or OUTLINE FONTS when possible prior to sending us the file.

Make sure that you only send us a COPY of the files and not the original files.

Provide or Fax or a Hard Copy of the intended work, with separations,
and the Name of the file of the intended work.




Are the art files and fonts included?

Do you have
a hard copy
of the intended job, in hand or faxed?

Did you state
the name of the electronic file for US to use?

3 ½” Floppy: Diskette (IBM only), but usually, 144k is too small for big projects

We can Expand or Compress Files with:
WINZIP Files (IBM), Stuff-It Files (Mac), DiskDoubler (Mac)



Important for proper file transfer and printing:
VECTOR ART: Illustrator, CorelDraw
Vector art files should be saved as encapsulated postscript (.EPS) files.
Any embedded fonts should be Converted to Paths or Outlined and any
embedded bitmap files should be CMYK.
Be sure to reference correct Pantone colors in your file for spot color jobs.

BitMAPPED ART: Photoshop, CorelPaint
Bitmapped art files should be saved as .TIF or Photoshop .EPS files and may use LZW compression.
Be sure to provide CMYK or Grayscale images.
Duotones should reference the correct spot color.
Avoid .JPG, .BMP, .GIF, .WMF, and .PICT files.

FONTS: Needed for all Jobs
Adobe Type I (.PFM, .PFB) or TrueType (.TTF) fonts may be used.
Be sure to included both screen and printer fonts. (.PFM, .PFB)
Avoid Multiple Master fonts.
Also remember that fonts embedded in .EPS files must be converted to paths.

Other File Formats
There are many other programs that have been written to manipulate and make digital artwork. We have we have chosen the top professional software programs for use by graphic professionals. Unless you can have your file save as, or export as one of the above mentioned extensions, we will not be able to use that file and will not be able to be responsible for blind files or email.
